Costs

The complete cost of the Wind Academy program is $12,600 USD including a $100 non-refundable application fee. Because Wind Academy is an accelerated three week program it will not qualify for federal student aid (FAFSA). Wind Academy does not offer on-campus housing but is located near many quality hotels. Daily catered lunches are provided to each student Monday through Friday. Private shower and laundry machines are available to students while in class.

Funding

Payment may be made via credit or debit card. Once accepted into the program, a 25% deposit is required to guarantee your seat. Payment in full is required on or before the first day of training or as agreed upon by Wind Academy by Siemens Gamesa.

Utilities Employee Credit Union (UECU) Financing Option

SIEMENS RENEWABLE ENERGY, INC., AND ITS TRAINING CENTER PROVIDE INFORMATION REGARDING STUDENT FINANCING OPTIONS FOR ITS WIND ACADEMY AS A COURTESY TO PROSPECTIVE OR CURRENTLY ENROLLED STUDENTS, AND THE PROVISION OF SUCH INFORMATION DOES NOT CREATE FINANCIAL RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE TRAINING CENTER AND STUDENT.  ALL OFFERS OF CREDIT AND OTHER LOAN DECISIONS ARE SOLEY THE RESPONSIBILITY OF UTILITY EMPLOYEE CREDIT UNION (“UECU”).

Cancelation and Refund Policy

Should a student’s enrollment be terminated or cancelled for any reason, all refunds will be made according to the following refund schedule:

1. A notice of cancellation shall be in writing, and a withdrawal may be effectuated by the student's written notice or by the student's conduct, including, but not necessarily limited to, a student's lack of attendance.

2. Any student who drops or cancels registration prior to the program beginning will be refunded any tuition paid, less the $100 non-refundable application fee.

3. Students have the right to cancel the enrollment agreement and obtain a refund of charges paid through attendance at the first-class session, or the seventh day after enrollment, whichever is later.  Student’s must contact Student Services in writing to drop or cancel, at which time the student will be contacted to make necessary arrangements for withdrawal and/or refunds within five (5) business days.

4. Cancellation after attendance has begun, up through 50% completion of the program, will result in a Pro Rata refund computed on the number of hours completed to the total program hours.

5. Cancellation after completing more than 50% of the program will result in no refund.

6. Termination Date: In calculating the refund due to a student, the last date of actual attendance by the student is used in the calculation unless earlier written notice is received.

7. All refunds due will be paid within thirty days (30) days of the drop date or receipt of Cancellation Notice.

8. Fees charged to a credit card will be refunded as credit to your account. Fees paid via UECU loan shall be refunded to UECU.
